NOTES FROM THE DESIGNER
This is my the most complicated aircraft. The build is not for beginners at all, especially with swing wing mechanism. You need some experience with building with insulation foam or depron (a lot of bending and maching).
This is plane with swing wing, so CoG point is moving with it, from 405mm to 425mm from the end of fuselage. I suggest use 425mm CoG point on maiden flight to good flying with max and min wingspan.
Construction of this Sukhoi is similar to paper models. In building thread I've put a lot of pictures from building to help you.
In center wing section is "hand made" airfoil to cover wing mechanism, moving part of wings are with KFm2 airfoil.
If you ask me what is the difference in flying with max or min wingspan, I'll tell you, there is no big difference. The max or min speed is the same, I think. I've got only tailerons, so with min wingspan setup, plane has better answer for roll commands than in max wingspan.
But the main thing is - It's looking so cool in the air when wings geometry is changing.
