NOTE FROM THE DESIGNER
For those that are interested, the biggest changes I made from the beta plans include: 1) Added an optional modification to the turtledeck to allow simulating that nice flowing crease in the turtledeck (the previous design had just a simple flat-sided turtledeck). 2) Added a sill piece to the lower canopy to make it more realistic-looking and flow into the crease in the turtledeck. 3) Used 2 layers of 3/8" side foam strips on all corners of the forward fuselage. This adds strength and allows sanding larger radius corners. 4) The aft fuselage sides were about 1/4" too long, so I trimmed them. 5) The forward fuselage top piece was a little bit too short, so I lengthened it about 1/4". 6) Moved the flaperon servos to on top of the wing instead of under it. I decided the servo arms were just too exposed on bottom and would catch the grass on landing and result in damage. 7) Added a hatch in the turtledeck to provide access to the receiver.
SUGGESTED SET UP
Motor: Himax 2015-4100 with gearbox (4.4 gears) | Battery: Thunder Power 1320 mAh 11.1 V lipo | ESC: Castle Creations Phoenix 25 | Prop: APC 9x6 Slowflyer | Receiver: Hitec Electron 6 | Servos: GWS Pico standard on flaperons, Hitec HS-55 on stabilator | Radio: Futaba 7A
